Jordan's Halloween Greetings!

Happy Halloween!!!
As the holiday seasons begin and the seasons change, I'm filled with emotion as I look over the past year. 2019 has been a challenging year in our world for many. Life in the good old USA has been going through a transformation that has accelerated big time! Just as I have been!
I look into the eyes of the downtrodden as I meet and greet people from all walks of life, giving out hot potatoes wrapped in tin foil to the homeless to help warm them during this cold and rainy season.
It breaks my heart to hear and witness what is happening in America.
We are living in a nation where it is more important to sell alcohol on Sunday than it is to uphold what God teaches. We are living in a time where demands are made in the courts to restrict the silence of our public prayers, a religious right based on the very fundamental values upon which we all stand. "One Nation Under God" is being obliterated.

I believe we are generations away from living the foundational truths that a people following God should possess. Helping to make this world a better place for our children is very important to me and of utmost value to my spirit.
I see and feel the urgency that surrounds us in America, and the world. People are afraid to stand up for truth these days and that fear continues to rage as it takes over minds and hearts Fear is slowly driving many hearts to madness, causing them to fail the bodies that hosts them.

A verse from the Bible that deeply touches my spirit is Isaiah 40:7-8
"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."
As Halloween approaches, leading to the day of Thanksgiving, and finally, Christmas (the day of our Savior, Jesus Christ's birth), I pray that we will all open our homes and our lives to witness what God can do for us. I say this because I know God is real, true, and faithful, and He will walk in the light with you and me.
If you find yourself this season asking, "Where is this light?" just reach out, hope, and have faith, and the Lord will open your spirit to that light, because it is His light. If you take hold of this truth and cling to it, a transformation will happen in your life that you have never dreamed of. That transformation will come by the influence of the holy spirit.

So, this season, make the best choice that anyone can make in their life - to live in the light of God's love. This can be a time of new beginnings for you. While many hearts have grown cold and are closing, there are other hearts in America- and around the world- that are opening to the gospel of Jesus Christ and allowing His holy spirit to dwell within them. The Lord will comfort anyone who wants His comfort. He never turns away a truly repentant heart.
Let the spirit of the Lord bring you comfort and peace. Please!
I will never stop running to His light of hope, peace, and forgiveness. And all of this is free. Simply give yourself over to him completely and be obedient, and I promise you, you will encounter a peace that passeth all understanding

The holy spirit has been there many times to help me when I couldn't help myself. And when the world turns its back or people show forth the fake 'plastic fantastic' life they have, I rely on the sure knowledge that the Lord will be there to walk the walk with me and I will make it through, for better or for worse. It has always been that way for me.

1 Corinthians 9: 19-23 says:

"For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you."
Always know that the Lord will meet you as you are where you are, then He will lift you up and help you become better.

Enjoy your Halloween and have fun dressing up with your family
this year.
Make a fresh start, enjoy life, and let God bless you!
