Prayers for Jordan

Since Jordan doesn't have a cyber voice and isn't in the physical and emotional state to share what he has been dealing with for sometime now, he asked me to be his voice and speak for him.
On September 11, 2019, Jordan suffered an accident that has left him disabled in many ways. Because of the back trauma, he can only walk with the assistance of a walker. He suffered a major concussion that has altered everything and he deals with memory loss as well as the ability to think clearly. He is in pain 24/7 and there is no relief from it. His energy is shot and his system has been breaking down a little at a time. Some days, he literally cannot get out of bed. And when he does leave his apartment, it is usually to go to medical appointments, and even then, he has to navigate his way through the chaos surrounding downtown Portland. There have also been times when he has trudged the streets on his walker to serve the homeless people populating his city block, taking food and other personal things he has no need for, and distributing this among those who have lost hope.

Sadly, despite all this, Jordan feels abandoned and alone. He has been abandoned by the very people who should be offering help and comfort - his fellow church members.
There is a lot going on in the world and most of us are focused on making our way through the madness and surviving. But what about the those who are suffering alone? What about fulfilling our callings as brothers and sisters in Christ? Why do we not recognize the opportunities to serve those who are suffering and act on those opportunities?
As I said a couple of times before, the Lord sees everything. He knows our every thought and witnesses our ever deed, and hears our every word. Nothing - absolutely nothing - is hidden from Him. ~Jewel

Jordan's Easter Message

"The Lord sees every single action of our lives. He hears every word spoken, and knows every intent of the heart, both good and evil. Nothing - absolutely NOTHING - is hidden from Him. Just as every good will be accounted for, so too will every hurt, every abuse, every immoral sin, and every willful disregard of His commandments. He sees into our secret places because He has walked through them all, and nothing is unknown. We are all naked before Him. Because of this, our lives will be weighed, measured, and judged accordingly. And oh, what millstones are being prepared right along with the mansions! And the Lord knows which of us will receive what.

Just a little something to think about." ~Jewel

Jordan's St. Patrick's Day Message

"I am coming to terms with accepting the Lord's will for me. And with that acceptance comes His peace. His ways are higher than my own, and His grace is sufficient." ~Jordan
