Some thoughts from Jewel:
Jordan's life has been peppered with trial after trial, and he's had to face many of these adversities alone with hardly (if any) real support from his circle. He has bounced back from things that most people can't imagine. Fortunately, Jordan understands his worth in the eyes of God and His Son, Jesus. His knowledge and faith is something no one can ever take from him. Many may try, but God has him in the palm of His hand and is holding fast to him.
Last year, when we drove to Portland to spend some time with Jordan and help him get his new apartment organized, we saw firsthand some of his struggles, and since then, I've shed many tears for him and offered up prayer after prayer for his comfort. Sadly, I could see that his abuse has never stopped. His victimization has never stopped. Yet he is hanging in the best he can.
Jordan deals with so much sadness because of multiple disabilities:
*PTSD from childhood trauma
*anxiety and loss of quality of life due to an ongoing concussion
*ongoing medical conditions
*trauma from the neglect of those around him
All of it breaks my heart. But he continues to hold on to his faith. It's all he can do.
I pray that the Lord will continue to comfort him and be with him through this, his hardest health trial yet. I wish that I lived closer and could be there to be his caregiver and comfort him when he needs someone to just be there. One day soon, I hope to be blessed with the opportunity to take on that role in his life.
For now, prayers, phone calls and words of comfort are all I can offer. He needs those tender mercies from everyone, and he needs to know that his life matters to those around him. He always has. He doesn't need to be preached to or called to repentance by anyone, and he doesn't need anyone's judgements.
He simply needs what Jesus commanded of us all, and that is to love God and love our neighbor. Jordan has always been an amazing example of this. He has helped so many others over the years, and now it's time for him to be served.
I love Jordan and so does my family, and I will continue to do what I can for him. I hope that all those around him who profess to love him will do what they can too, with no judgements.
Thanks.
Hello Jewel,
This is Paul and Jordan we just sent a few links of Greg Laurie. Jordan want you to know that he is the person who inspired Jordan and his sister Terridawn to live for Jesus during the hippie movement of the 60's and 70's. He still inspires him today, more than any other minister in his life. He's so not plastic fantastic and truly non denominational.
"Jewel you are an inspiration to so many who question if God is real today." Jordan

Jordan was talking to me about Mesquite NV. What a generous
Invitation of love, hope and support for him. Know, I'll support him, wherever he is at. I for sure would visit as often as I could if he chooses that path.
Hope you are well, and your family is good. Thanks for loving on my dearest friend, as he like to say, since I was 14. Which it is true.
Paul
