I followed the North Star and I found Jesus, and my world
changed! It is like love into eternity!
Everybody living knows New Year’s Eve is soon at hand and the
ball is about to drop, but I’m sending you all much love and peace during my
favorite evening of the year and I feel you with me in spirit.
As we feast with family and friends this holiday season, many
will take time to appreciate what we have with one another, whether it is
family or friends, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, even someone we are not with, for we all desire intimacy, especially this
time of year. Gratitude makes me less materialistic; my life before was all
about the red carpets and the runway-work, day in and day out, lasting only so
many decades when I made a career from what I knew I had. Yes, I found freedom
in letting go of my life and taking control of my future. For the first time, at the age of 57, I’m able to see that my future has
many blessings and my New Year’s Resolutions will gain momentum and power as I give them over to the Savior, Jesus.
I’ve learned that Jesus carried a little broken boy for many
years, as well as the young man life had left behind who could only dream that God restored his
dreams of belonging. Jesus will carry your dreams for the New Year. Trust me,
I’m speaking from experience. No matter
how old you are, it is never too late to open your mind to the truth that God will give you
more than enough this New Year. For myself, I assist the less fortunate. It
allows me to open myself to see the man in the mirror, which can be a profound
way to remind yourself of your true wealth. I’ve learned never to try and judge the
truth of another person’s life. This is serious people, and a problem in our
world today for so many who are in social media. Trust is everything.
We each can tackle issues that are
sapping the energy out of us and taking spirit right out of our life. This is
my reality: never again will I put anything or any person before
Jesus Christ, for He is the only thing and the only one I can honestly trust to
see me through a new year. My life is all about finding my peace with Jesus.
When you find Him, you will be free. Please find a Happy New Year’s Eve with
someone you want to share the rest of your life with. He changed mine.
You know, New Year’s Eve is my favorite holiday because we all
get a fresh start to transform our new year. This year is the first year that
my life has been totally Not Average, for I’m opening my life and being
vulnerable. This year I am missing the children at the Christmas Box House and
the friends and spiritual family I have throughout the state of Utah. They
understand my reasons for not being with them, for God has me on a journey
where I can only walk by faith. Other cities are not like the Pacific
Northwest, so thank the Lord for the
gift of learning to adjust my life to meet other people’s needs first. No
problem, I’m used to that. Seriously, it is a joy to sacrifice for your
brother.
Happy New
Year’s Eve, my favorite night of the year and to all the children at the
Christmas Box House, may 2017 bring much love and kindness into your life for
you deserve nothing but the finest in life.
