Returning home from my amazing experience at the Mt. Timpanogos temple, I felt my eyes were opened in a way I had never experienced in the temple.  More people than not were getting alarmed, working together, just being together out and about, walking side by side if not hand in hand, with malice toward none.  I believe in staying focused on the overwhelmingly positive good that reveals itself in my daily encounters.  What Jesus did in Gethsemane and on the cross gives me the real adventure of my life.  Who will you be?  How will you show up when it matters?  Take pleasure in the natural rhythms of your life in Christ.  I hope to use all opportunities to open my eye and meet each new day with happiness, and I hope this Easter brings happiness as all of you brought happiness into my life over the years.

Don’t let anyone squash your spirit to serve Jesus Christ.  He will never be ashamed of you. He died for you because He loves you.  Who would give up their life so you could have a better one?  I can only imagine.

Rather than being down on ourselves and discrediting who we are and focusing on all our flaws, I wonder what would happen all through the day, not in front of other people, but in our own privacy we were to become as bold as David and say to ourselves, “I am amazing.  I am wonderful.  I am valuable.”   When I speak in this manner to myself out loud, amazing things come chasing all of us opening our life with gratitude and kindness from within our hearts.

Strength in the Lord

I have never been one to make resolutions for the new year. I just simply continue to strive to live better than I did the year before. I strive to grow closer to the Savior than I was before. Gordon B. Hinckley, former president of the LDS church, always said we should all "try a little harder to be a little better." It is all any of us can do, but we must be sincerely trying.

Jordan strives to do this every single day, but so many around him seem to do everything they can to throw stumbling blocks in his way, attempting to throw him off course. I have never seen anyone try as hard as Jordan to live the gospel of Christ - to fight the good fight, and cling to his faith with all his might, mind and strength. Still, it seems that every time he is emotionally knocked down and begins to heal, Satan works through others to knock him off his feet once again, and my heart aches for him every time.
For the most part, Jordan is a lamb constantly being thrown into a den of ravenous wolves - a den the size of Texas! And the wolves grow more cunning, vicious, and heartless by the day. Sadly, many of these "wolves" are people he should be able to trust. Sometimes it is almost more than he can stand, and the stress of it all causes his body to grow weak and his immune system to cave in, in which case he gets violently ill, and for Jordan, this is not a good thing.

Even still, the Lord is with Jordan. Christ lifts him up and pieces him back together through the healing power of the atonement. There is no better healing than that. So, though Satan and his minions rage, and those who allow themselves to be used and influenced by the adversary continue to hurt Jordan in various ways, Jordan's life is still in the Father's hands, and his persecutors are known and numbered, and they will one day be justly dealt with. Whether in this life or the next, it makes no difference. We all make our choices and we all deal with the consequences of our actions.
There is not a better soul walking this earth than Jordan. He gives and gives, he loves everyone, never discriminates, and has the biggest heart I have ever seen. His life over the years has been a complete 360, and God is pleased with his every effort. He stays true to his covenants, strives to be obedient to God's commandments (even though others give him hell for it - why, I don't know) and clings to the Lord.
That is what I call strength.
And I love him for it.

I prayed that those who read our book will find some peace tonight.  My spirit has become so tired of the unkindness in this world, and while writing this book, I found there are vultures and thieves at my back.  Some, unfortunately, are loved ones and family reacting harshly rather than responding with open minds and hearts to the truth of the words written by divine guidance within the few pages this book.  For some, it is easier to believe in the madness and sadness of this hurting world that brings many souls to their knees.

Individuals who have nourished and strengthened me over the past thirty years, and continue to walk the walk and not just talk the talk, have given me opportunities to participate in enriching projects.  I've internalized uplifting conversations and experiences that

celebrate the power of the human heart, and I have been privy to the hopes and dreams of others.  I can never thank the Lord enough for those learning and life-changing experiences.
This is what you will find in this book written by Jewel Adams and myself.  These are our personal thoughts about true, sacred intimacy with the Savior and walking hand-in-hand with Him. It's amazing to see what the Savior has done - and continues to do - when we trust in His love.  His love transformed us, and it can transform you too.  We pray that you will enjoy reading our book and hope it will inspire you to give your life to Christ today.

God truly blessed him with a heart of gold, and though many disagree with Jordan's choice to focus on helping the homeless, the Lord has strengthened him during his times of trial and this amazing man is holding fast to the Lord's plan for him, putting the Savior's will at the forefront and not caving to the will of man. After all, man is nothing without the Lord, and in the end, Jordan's adversaries will be judged by THE JUDGE and dealt with accordingly.
Like me, Jordan's allegiance lies firmly with God, and God will surely bless him for it.
Jordan  spent his Thanksgiving Day serving meals to homeless families, and he will be spending Christmas and New Year's serving as well. I am not at all surprised because that is the kind of man he is:-)
